August, 2022. Dear Mr Keith Our Germany-based NPO, the DSJW (Deutsch –Sϋdafrikansches Jugendwerk) held a debriefing seminar for our 15 young German volunteers returning to Germany after their 6-month social responsibility stay in South Africa. Our choice of the Kwalata Adventure Camp was spot-on! In the seminar assessment questionnaire, all 15 volunteers gave the Adventure Camp total approval (sehr zufrieden) for ‘Unterkunft’ (accommodation) and ‘Verpflegung’ (food and refreshment). Specific mention was made of the ‘super’ food. Another hit was the 2-hour game drive conducted by Peter, the Adventure camps’s truly knowledgeable game ranger who even managed to bring us up close with a rhino family. Our seminar room was set up perfectly and the Kwalata Adventure Camp staff attended to our every need. The two nights were rounded off by a roaring bushveld campfire. What an African send off for our young Germans. Thank you for a superb bush experience. Dr Richard Chernis DSJW seminar facilitator

February, 2022. Good morning Trevor, I hope this email finds you well. I would just like to thank you, Peter and the team for the exceptional service we received again. The learners cannot stop talking about their various camp experiences and it is all down to your team. Due to difficult socio-economic situations our learners do not get much exposure to the world and this camp means so very much to each new generation we bring to your adventure camp. So, thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you in 2023. Stephanie Bence Belvedere School Therapist

August, 2022. To Trevor and the Kwalata Camp Facilitators A heartfelt thank you from Sunnyridge Primary learners and staff for the fabulous time we have had at Kwalata Camp. Your attention to detail, (including the safety of our learners) your communication with the teachers for the duration of the camp, your boundless enthusiasm and energy, and the excellent rapport with our children made for a very enjoyable camp. Our learners enjoyed the camp tremendously and could not stop talking about the activities and the delicious food. We will gladly visit Kwalata Camp again and without hesitation recommend it to any other school or groups. Thank you for your kindness and all your hard work! It is much appreciated. February, 2022. Apologies for the delay in camp feedback. We arrived tired, somewhat dusty but endlessly happy on Friday, and I'm certain not just the teachers but also the learners spent most of the weekend speaking about the great adventures that were had. I'd very much appreciate it if the below feedback could also be sent on to Trevor, Peter and the entire Kwalata team. In short, the camp was excellent and exceeded l expectations by far. Why? The activities were age-appropriate and made sense, they were presented with a goal in mind, the learners got to learn, to try things out, to reflect, and to evaluate themselves as individuals and as a team after all the activities. Everything made sense in the greater scheme of the week's program. There was cohesiveness and a logical, learner-centred progression. The facilitators were phenomenal; insightful, knowledgeable, friendly and patient, yet firm when needed, open, keen to include everyone, and not shy to address any shortfalls or issues. Working with them, observing, and participating in some activities was a great privilege for us as teachers too. The facilities, from dorms and ablution blocks, to the lapa, meeting areas, grounds and obstacles are exceptionally well-maintained. The food - well, I have no words. I think the happy dances I regularly performed showed how much I personally enjoyed the outstanding cuisine, and the learner feedback is the same - yummy, filling, generous, tasty, flavorful and delicious were but some words used to describe the meals. We well and truly enjoyed our week at Kwalata to the fullest and cannot wait to come back. Wishing you all well - stay happy, healthy and safe. Katharina & the grade 6 colleagues
